The Parish Vision

In St Mary’s Church of Ireland our priorities are the same as the early church. These are recorded in Act Acts 2v42-47.

 (1) Worship

They devoted themselves… ‘Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad & sincere hearts, ⁴⁷ praising God. Acts 2v46,47

 (2) Evangelism

They devoted themselves…. ‘Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. tthe Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.’ Acts 2v42,47

 (3) Loving

They devoted themselves…. ‘They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.’ Acts 2v45

 (4) Learning

They devoted themselves…. ‘To the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread. Acts 2v42

In addition to focusing on these four ministries the early church was committed to praying and serving. Today we follow their example as we seek to be
