St Mary’s a ‘WELL’ Church growing through prayer and service

At least one of the couple should be a member of the Church of Ireland and the Rector will expect to provide some instruction about marriage before the wedding takes place. The couple will also need to visit the local register of Births Death and Marriages to apply for a Marriage Schedule which will be signed by the bride and groom, two witnesses and the Officiant after the marriage ceremony. The Rector will also suggest a format for a printed Wedding Service with suitable readings, and hymns which might be used and will discuss the Order of Service which is provided in the Church of Ireland Book of Common Prayer. He will arrange a rehearsal time and discuss any other requirements they may have, flowers, photographs, flowers, choir, other musicians and the use of church halls for a reception if required. Fees for weddings are set by the Select Vestry and revised periodically. The Rector should always be contacted before any arrangements are made.
