Showstopper's Concert
The Showstoppers Concert in the High School, Limavady, performed by the Britannia Concert Band and the choir of the Londonderry Musical Society, on 18th November 2011 attracted its usual capacity audience.
It was a very successful and enjoyable evening which raised approximately £4500 towards the refurbishment of the Organ.
From the programme -
"Music is the voice of the soul. Through it we express sentiments for which words alone are inadequate. It can express joy, or sorrow, love, humour and even anger amongst many other human emotions. Tonight’s concert is an example of music for pleasure and entertainment. In worship it can also be a means of communicating sentiments that link the mortal mind to the divine."
