PARISH AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
In the main parish Hall or in the Minor Hall beside the church  

(Both halls may be booked through the Churchwardens or Parish Adminstrator by individuals and groups for events or meetings)


For Ladies
Mothers Union
 

Meets monthly.

Women’s Institute
The Macosquin Branch of the WI is a thriving organisation of more than 50 ladies whose monthly meetings are held in the Minor Hall
                    

For Men   
Men’s Society.  
A monthly informal meeting for our male parishioners and their friends with a speaker or activity during the winter.

For Senior Citizens
 
Monthly Old-time dancing evening.
Weekly Lunch programme during the winter months.

For Children (Primary School age)  
Saturday Club 11.00am – 12.30pm Games, craftwork and kids computer club
Sunday Club    10.30 -11.30am An informal Sunday school in term-time

For Teenagers
We do not have a Youth Club at present but occasional activities are arranged for teenagers

Confirmation Groups are formed in alternate years for young people aged 13 -14 and above.  The members are involved in church and community activities and function as a Parish Youth Group

Protection of children and vulnerable adults. The Parish  is committed to the Church of Ireland Safeguarding Trust legislation to ensure that we fulfil our responsibilities of looking after  the people who are in our care. Co-ordinated by Ms Clara Heaton and the Rector our Safeguarding Trust team is responsible for appointing leaders who are properly vetted and provides training for them in best practices and procedures.

Craft work, flower arranging courses, cookery lessons and other practical activities are arranged throughout the year with the Macosquin Village Association

For Everyone
Incredible Edible
The car parking area between Mary Pat's Pub and the Parish church has been enlarged.  The ground beside it has been prepared for a lawn and for the 'Incredible Edible' vegetable patch which will be developed by members of the church and the wider community......more
