Sunday Club Nativity play 2016

On Sunday 18th December the Sunday club held their nativity play.
Although it wasn’t the usual nativity play where there were angels, shepherds, Mary and Joseph and the stable.
We decided to have a different play where a mother and her children were decorating the Christmas tree. The children wanted to know what all the different decorations meant.
This was explained through a narrator with some of the children reading different portions of scripture to explain what the Bible said about the Messiah coming into the world.
Every child played a part from the family asking the questions to the readings and decorating the tree so the congregation saw it all come together.
The children sang Christmas songs and in one particular song we remembered the people this Christmas who had no home, were hungry lonely and sad, the sick and bereaved which led us into our prayers.
Our thanks to the children for all their hard work and making our job so easy.
The congregation and the leaders really enjoyed the service
