Easter Sunrise Worship at Camus Cemetery
The First Eucharist of Easter was celebrated at Camus Cemetery, a 6th Century site of monastic worship beside the River Bann. The Service began at dawn with the Kindling of the Paschal Fire, an ancient liturgical ceremony. Three of our confirmation candidates, Ben, Stephen and Rebecca Cuckoo were baptised during the service.
Approximately 40 parishioners and friends braved the morning chill and stayed to enjoy the bacon butty breakfast in Mrs J King's adjacent farmyard. Garry and Virginia Anderson were kept busy at the BBQ.
