Easter Sunrise Worship at Camus Cemetery

The First Eucharist of Easter was celebrated at Camus Cemetery, a 6th Century site of monastic worship beside the River Bann. The Service began in darkness with the Kindling of the Paschal Fire, an ancient liturgical ceremony and shortly afterwards Shaunie Robertson was baptised.
Approximately 40 parishioners and friends braved the morning chill and stayed to enjoy the bacon butty breakfast in Mrs J King's adjacent farmyard with master chef Garry Anderson at the BBQ.
