Macosquin Coffee Morning for Curtis Neely's Mission to India

The Macosquin community and parishioners of St Mary's Church in Macosquin raised over £750 at a coffee morning which was held last Saturday (31st March) in the Parish Hall to support Curtis Neely, a final year student in CAI, one of a number of young people from several schools in the Coleraine Ballymoney area who will be going to Northern India to teach in local schools this summer.

Each member of the group has to raise at least £2,000 by July to finance the expedition and a significant part of that money will benefit very impoverished Indian children.  The church held another smaller fund-raising event at a Parish Social on St. Patrick's night and Curtis has now passed the half-way point with over £1,000 towards his target. Macosquin Primary School has also offered to have a non-uniform day to help him.
